Founded in May 2022 in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, our story begins with two passionate
pickleball players, Ben Jules Dico and Nino Trinidad, whose hearts were set and inspired to create something that shows their love for the sport, and embraces the spirit
of fun and competition.

But what sparked it all? Well, it started with a simple shirt with a pickleball print in it. As
they wore it around, people couldn't help but ask where they got it from. What began as simple curiosity, soon paved the way for something extraordinary—BOLA PICKLEBALL. The name "BOLA" itself carries a special meaning. Now, you're probably wondering,
Why BOLA?; In Bisaya, a dialect from the Philippines, "bola"; is a direct translation of
"ball"; But there's more to it than that.

Picture this: Ben and Nino playing on temporary and made-up pickleball courts without
fences. Every time the ball would fly into another court, they'd shout "BOLA!" to alert
other players. Soon enough, everyone in the park started using the term and shouting
“BOLA” when they play pickleball. This lively shout fostered a spirit of camaraderie—it
became the word that brought everyone together on parks or on the courts. How cool is
that? This experience inspired the name of something amazing today.

Both Ben and Nino are not just founders; they are passionate pickleball players
themselves. In 2021, they’ve started their pickleball journey and quickly fell in love with
the game, immersing themselves in the community of pickleball.
Their commitment to the sport extends beyond casual play, as it led them to compete in
several tournaments, and even represent the Philippines at the prestigious US OPEN
Mens Doubles Pro. 

Through their experiences and challenges as players, they recognized a gap in the market for high-quality pickleball equipment that would truly understand the player's needs.

Thus, at BOLA, we are driven by a core belief that we are "Built by Players for Players"
because every product, every decision, is made with the player in mind. It's this
authentic connection and firsthand experience with the sport that sets BOLA apart.

competitions, our journey reflects the explosive growth of pickleball itself. It's a story of
